I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in world literature from the University of California, San Diego. I am TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association) certified. My tutoring experience is broad and includes preparing students for the GED, SAT, TOEIC and TOEFL. I have tutored/taught ESL and university-level writing in both private and institutional settings: -Tutored English reading and writing at Grossmont Community College in San Diego for 3 years -Taught English for Berlitz in Montreal, Canada for 2 years I have also tutored introductory paramedical microbiology and beginning Spanish at the college level. I have experience teaching and tutoring adults with learning disabilities. I currently work in social services at a local non-profit that provides support to adults with developmental disabilities.
