I currently attend UC Santa Barbara at which I am a second year. I am double majoring in history and religious studies.
Experience
Both of my parents are teachers and they imparted on my skills which have come in handy during the times I have tutored. I tutored unofficially after school while I was at Macy Intermediate in Monterrey Park. I know that learning itself is a learned process and requires positive reinforcement in order for success.I tutored later again in High School first during the year and then during the summer. Students I find do move at there own pace and it is foolish to push a person father than what they can do at the time. However I still believe that challenges are part of learning and if they are paced well any student can master any subject. Here at UCSB I took professor Baldwin's socialization which looked in depth into how people of different ages learn and the different methods for teaching.
