I have a very eclectic background and a broad range of skills and abilities that I bring to my tutoring sessions with students. I am currently enrolled in a Doctor of Psychology program. I also have a master's degree in Psychology and a bachelor's degree in German from UC Berkeley, as well as a TEFL certification obtained from a program in Spain. While in Germany my junior year of college, I worked as a teacher of English to native German speakers, as well as an editor of translated texts.I work with each individual student to help find the learning methods that work best for his or her individual needs, and situation. Also, I have experience developing successful strategies and approaches for students who have unique needs, such as those who have ADD, OCD, and those on the autism spectrum. Over five years of experience with every grade (k-college), a wide range of subject matters (languages, linear math, and everything in between), and test preparation (SAT, ACT, TOEFL, and more) enables me to meet almost any student's academic need. I focus not just on the academics, but also on study skills, study habits, and stress reduction strategies.In my free time, I enjoy staying active by swimming, and practicing Aikido. I also enjoy playing the piano, traveling, and tinkering with computers.
