I'm attending UC Santa Barbara for my undergraduate degree in economics accounting. Education is always been a part of my life, as my mother teachers junior high. As a high school student, I tutored junior high students in all subjects. I also have helped students prepare for private school admission exams like the HSPT and ISEE. I will also be earning a minor in writing at UC Santa Barbara, and I've spent time helping students with creative writing, essays, and academic research papers. I'm the oldest member of my family in the current generation, and I have 25 cousins, so I'm skilled at working with and communicating with children of all ages. When I tutor students, it's usually accounting and economics courses. I help students understand accounting by getting students through the steps and showing them the core concepts, and then we work together to solve problems until the student can solve problems on their own. I believe knowledge of economics is very important for our society, and I get fulfillment knowing that I'm helping others understand it. In my free time, I enjoy volleyball and snowboarding.
