I have found that, no matter how complicated a topic may seem, I can always get a person to understand it. In fact I get a great amount of enjoyment in seeing that light turn on when a concept is finally understood. This is my main reason for being a tutor. During my own education, I have spent a great deal of time tutoring people my age, as well as older and younger. This amounts to about 5 years of experience teaching others about the sciences and math, mainly. I am currently working towards my Ph. D. in Chemistry at UC Santa Barbara.
