I was employed at American River College in Sacramento, CA as a tutor in Spanish for 1 year and privately tutored college students in English/Writing for the past 3 years. Additionally, I have worked in the classroom with Kindergarten-8th grade students. Prior to employment at American River College, I became a certified tutor through their Tutoring program. My main goal as a tutor is to help students learn how to develop their own study skills in order to learn their coursework material the most effectively. Perhaps my most joyous moment as a tutor is when a student no longer needs my assistance because they are able to think critically and apply the skills I have taught them on their own.
