Sophomore Psychology Major at UC Santa Barbara, but planning to change my major by this year to Communications. Cumulative GPA of 3.06.
Experience
No legitimate previous tutoring experience. Was part of several tutoring groups in AP courses throughout high school. Tutored younger sister throughout her elementary school years. AP scores: English (Language) 3, Calculus AB 3, Statistics 4, English Literature 2. SAT scores: 1770. I want to be a tutor because I know how important it is to have someone there to support you and help you work through the troubling subjects. I have also been apart of tutoring in high school (receiving and giving) and it helped me tremendously. I would love to do the same for other kids who are like me when I attended K-12. I have also been apart of the Puente program and have taken workshops on studying and time management skills. I have also been in many clubs during high school and student goverment, as well as a part time job in retail during the summer months, so I understand the importance of working as a team and positive encouragement.
