Jacqueline L.
Private tutor in Goleta, CA
Education
Junior, Sociology and Spanish double-major with a minor in Feminist Studies at University of California, Santa Barbara
Experience
I have tutored children from grades 1-8 at the non-profit organization of Neighborhood Youth Association (located in Los Angeles, Ca.) during my last two years of high school. I have worked with children all of my life as a baby-sitter/tutor for my neighbors as well as my siblings. I would like to be a tutor because I enjoy working with children and helping students develop efficient study skills, in order to thoroughly understand material and help them excel academically. In high school I took three years of computer classes and I excelled in Chemistry, Algebra, and History classes. Here, at UCSB, I have taken General Chemistry, American History, Writing, Sociology, Psychology, Spanish, and Feminist Studies classes. My test scores are as follows: SAT 1520, ACT 22, Spanish SAT subject test 730, Literature SAT subject test 500.
